Ingredients
  

For the Meatloaf:
  • 1 lb ground pork
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 packet Lipton Onion Soup Mix
  • 2 large eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1 cup plain breadcrumbs
  • 3/4 cup whole milk
  • 1/3 cup tomato ketchup
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped yellow onion
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp freshly ground black pepper
For the Meatloaf Glaze:
  • 3/4 cup ketchup
  • 1 1/2 tsp white vinegar
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 1/2 tsp dark brown sugar
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika

Method
 

Step 1
  1. Preheat Oven: Set oven to 350°F (175°C) for even cooking.

  1. Prepare Ingredients: Finely chop the onion, measure breadcrumbs, and gather other ingredients.

  1. Mix the Meat: In a large bowl, combine ground pork, ground beef, onion soup mix, breadcrumbs, eggs, milk, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, and black pepper. Mix until just combined.

  1. Shape the Loaf: Transfer mixture to a greased loaf pan, shaping it evenly.

  1. Prepare the Glaze: In a bowl, mix all glaze ingredients until smooth.

  1. Apply the Glaze: Spread half of the glaze over the meatloaf before placing it in the oven.

  1. Bake: Bake for about 1 hour, adding the remaining glaze halfway through.

  1. Check Doneness: Use a meat thermometer; internal temperature should reach 160°F (71°C).

  1. Let it Rest: Allow the meatloaf to rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
